Born in Puglia, Italy's olive-tree-dotted heel, I started working as a financial reporter in Milan for MF-DowJones, a newswires created jointly with Dow Jones Newswire, a Wall Street Journal company, and Milano Finanza, a leading Italian financial publication.

I learnt the bread and butter of the job from the top financial journalists in Italy, and I consumed my shoes doorstepping bankers and top executives in the financial heart of Italy.

With the onset of the Euro-zone crisis, I started travelling and reporting across Europe, covering international events such as European Council meetings in Brussels and the G20 gatherings in France. As the debt crisis moved to Italy, I wrote daily about political and financial developments in the country. I often appeared on CNBC TV. As MF-DowJones expanded its offering following its parent company in London, I've been named team leader of a group of reporters to cover macro and currency markets while obtaining a certification as professional journalist in Italy, being awarded the highest score nationally.

After five years at MF-DowJones, Bloomberg News recruited me to write about markets. I moved to London where my mandate was expanded to cover the Brexit referendum . In addition to cover the Brexit developments, I extended my focus to key regulatory changes such as MiFID II, leading the coverage in the international press by regularly breaking news about banks' plans to implement this important new regulation.

In 2017, I joined Bloomberg News' finance team where I write exclusive and enterprise stories. I contributed to the coverage of sexual harassment as the #MeToo campaign grew in the financial sector, breaking news on cases at UBS Group AG and HSBC Holding Plc.

My biggest hits include exposing multi-million trading losses at banks such as Morgan Stanley and Barclays Plc. I have exposed how millions of pounds in taxpayer-backed loans went to companies with dubious credentials using cutting-hedge data-journalism techniques. The investigation won at the British Journalism Awards in crime journalism. My profile on the Barclays trading boss
who saw the London Whale coming has been followed internationally by other news outlet including the Financial Times and the New York Times.

In 2022, Reuters hired me as chief correspondent, covering European investment banking in London.

I have a master's degree in Economics and Business Management and a bachelor of Arts in Communication Science, both awarded with highest honors from the prestigious Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, including studies in the U.S. and Spain.
